There can be a tendency to feel like ‘you’ve ruined everything’ when something isn’t going well in the moment.
But the reality is that whatever ‘bad’ you feel is happening now is only part of the whole, which includes the ‘good’, even if that feels far away.
You can’t have one without the other.
For example, let’s say that you’ve eaten a bunch of junk for the last few weeks, more so than usual, for whatever reason.
Now you’re feeling pretty poorly about yourself when you look in the mirror, or on the scale.
Should you abandon your overall mission of being healthy? Of course not.
You’ve got to take that two week rough patch and make something positive out of it.
What was it that set the stage for this to occur? How might you make it easier for yourself to break out of that slump next time?
No matter how bad things get or feel, they can always be transformed.
