One of the reasons I am able to achieve 90% or greater consistency with home cooking my food is that I almost always have at least one protein + one vegetable portion cooked, sitting in my fridge, in a ready-to-heat container.
Many weeks, 2-3 days go by before I have to dip into this ‘savings fund’ of pre-cooked food. At that point, I’ll just eat it so it doesn’t get wasted.
But some weeks, this little trick saves my nutritional day, because I can’t stop to cook something fresh.
Whether it’s a personal or professional matter, some matter almost always pops up that needs to be dealt with.
