Every day this May I’m making it a point to invest a minimum of 5 minutes per day into the following 3 areas of my life that could use some improvement: You could join me with just one 5-minute action per day this month. What’s Your Definition Of Food?
I often talk about how many items you can find in the supermarket are ‘Not Food‘. The other day I took a stab at defining what food is to me: For me, food should be mostly: satisfying, have no ingredient label (or, as few ingredients on the label as possible), agree with my body (specifically,Continue reading “What’s Your Definition Of Food?”
The Talk
Often times when I talk with a customer, client, friend, or even a family member, they already know the answer the the question or problem they have. So it’s not the case that they need my verbal advice. Sometimes, they just need someone to talk to, and the talk alone is helpful enough.
Should You Weigh Yourself Daily?
It depends. The day of the week is not the purpose of measurement. The purpose of the measurement is to help you reach your goals. For many people, a daily weigh-in is helpful. For many people, it’s not.

Unconditional Ownership
To take 100% ownership of things is difficult sometimes, especially when there’s another person or party involved who refuses to do the same for their share. But, these difficult or tense situations are exact the ones where your 100%, unconditional ownership is what’s needed most.
The Opening
One way I can tell that someone is ready to dive deeper into a problem they’re having is when they open the door with a question. Often times, that question will be slightly misdirected; it will be pointing at something tangential to the real, underlying problem – but not asking about the root cause ofContinue reading “The Opening”
Mental Weights
The other day I wasn’t feeling 100% physically, but I went into the gym anyway to train. It had been a few days without training, and that was starting to be like a weight on my mind. Sometimes, you need to ‘lift weights’ (or exercise in any capacity) physically in order to ‘lift weights’ offContinue reading “Mental Weights”
Can I Eat Ketchup?
First, of course, you can eat whatever you want to. Which kind of ketchup, how much, and how often, depends. It depends on if you have read the ingredients, how it makes you feel, and how well your body responds to the ‘dose’.
