Notice The Arising

The next time something hits your ears that triggers a negative emotion or feeling, practice remembering that it is just sound.

Sound, by itself, does not have to lead to a continuous rise in anger, frustration, or fear.

Of course when someone yells as us, we’re going to feel something inside.

But once we make the connection between the arising of the feeling and the sound which triggered it, we have the power to stop it from rising even more.
