‘Mise en place’

Mise en place‘ is a concept that helps me tremendously, not just in cooking, but in life.

If you want to home-cook most of your food, and you also have other obligations such as family and work, as most of us do, you’ll want to make the cooking process as easy as possible on yourself.

Negate all of the potential, controllable elements of stress beforehand.

Don’t start the fire while you’ve still got cold vegetables to chop.
