Actual question from a client:
“So, I’m really disappointed in my progress. I just don’t understand why the weight isn’t going down. I’ve been eating small amounts of ice cream, Hershey’s Kisses, and Kit Kats at night.
Do you think that could have something to do with it?”
I’m not kidding.
The thing I find most interesting about this question is that it was sincere.
They really believed, at least consciously, that eating junk food late at night was not affecting their progress.
If you keep telling yourself a story over and over again, you will believe it.
The key is to change the story.
