On Monday morning I ‘winterized’ my garage gym.
I put away the fan that blows a little air when it’s hot and muggy during training.
I set up my squat rack, platform, and surrounding area to be ready for heavy lifting with minimal prep early in the morning.
I left my winter training sweatshirt out, ready to go.
I prepared my mind for the hardest – and also my favorite – kind of training.
Training when it’s cold.
Training when no one else is training.
Training to get stronger and build more muscle now, so that eight months from now, in May, when it’s time to go to the beach and relax a bit in the warm weather, I will have earned it.
