Sometimes you simply have to get up and get moving, even though you don’t feel like it, in order to feel like it.
As I said the other day: action precedes motivation; it’s not the other way around.
Physically, movement of the body causes many different internal systems to spring into action: hormones, nervous system signals, metabolic functions, and more.
In turn this leads to the beginning of a more positive mental state, which feeds itself.
Ultimately, movement can even be a spiritual practice; one that makes you feel connected with something greater than yourself.
