Like you, I’ve got plenty to do today.
Calls to make, emails to reply to, projects to complete.
If I want to do all of that, and get all of my personal routine in, I need to get moving in the morning.
In order to ‘get moving’, the very first thing that I do is …
… nothing.
I just sit in stillness and breathe, usually for twenty minutes.
There is some internal resistance to doing this, especially if I’m thinking about what’s on my plate.
But the truth is that I’m far better equipped to handle my plate with this period of stillness, than without.
