The other day I put up this Instagram post about ‘sneaking in’ extra work.
First, it’s important to state that I learned about the concept of ‘sneaking in extra work’ from my coach Zach Even-Esh.
Wherever you are, there’s always an opportunity to get stronger.
Push-ups, bodyweight squats, and other calisthenic movements are well-known and readily available.
But you can even practice: holding yourself in various positions (squat, plank, etc.), changing the tempo and angles of movements, or increasing the degree of difficulty.
How often is there a flight of stairs, a jungle gym, or even a few chairs or benches nearby while you’re at your kids’ sport or other event?
5, 10 minutes of extra work per day really adds up.
