We all have competing commitments these days.
I don’t think we’ll be getting rid of those any time soon.
If you’ve got kids, you know well what I mean. But even if you don’t, the list may be long: sports, family, self, work, friends … etc.
We may be able to become more disciplined and prevent some conflicting decisions, but there will always be conflicting decisions to make.
‘Should I go to this or that?’
Here’s the thing: these are usually things that we love.
So it’s not black or white.
It’s not right or wrong.
You make the best choice you can make, and then, once you do, wherever you go, be there.
100%.
Be fully available and present while you are there, no matter for how long or short.
If you’re not, and you’re lamenting or worrying about missing out on something else, then what’s actually happening is that you’re missing out on both.
