I like text.
I’ve written over 3,000 blog posts, almost entirely in plain text. I can count on one hand the number of times I have included an image in a post.
My emails are formatted in very simple, plain text format. No graphic headers, buttons, or colors.
I think that text is still a fantastic way to communicate, even if millions of people prefer a ten-second TikTok video.
But text has its limitations, primarily when you’re trying to communicate feelings.
Of course, I can write about feelings, maybe even very well.
But that’s not the same as me trying to tell you how something is making me feel.
In any relationship (personal, professional, etc.), remember that you’re still dealing with a person, a human, who is an emotional being.
Thus, when you want to communicate your feelings to that person, or, when attempts to do so using text are not getting the job done, remember:
You can always call.
