Outside the Bubble

It’s very important, when you have an idea, to share it with someone you trust.

This should probably not be your Mom or spouse.

Sure, you can share it with them too, but, you also need a neutral party.

It could be a colleague with whom you’re working directly on a project, but if it’s really important, and it’s something that you’re building for others, then I strongly recommend that you gather some external, neutral, feedback.

From customers or prospects? Yes!

From someone who’s not invested in the project? Yes!

From someone who’s going to actually challenge your idea, and tear open any small holes real wide, with compassion?

Definitely.

Most ideas sound great in your head, and inside a bubble.

Before you move to execute, get outside the bubble.
