Pull Yourself Back

You really can never actually be anywhere else than Now, and I’m spelling Now with a capital N intentionally.

You can think about the future or the past, but you will never physically be in those places. You will always be here, Now

It can be healthy to think about the future and the past, but it can also be unhealthy.

Here’s a tip: if you ever find that you’ve forgotten that you are actually here, right Now, that’s a ‘red flag’ that you’re in a potential problem zone.

The moment you start feeling like you are actually not here Now – for example, feeling like you are living, in the present moment, some scary future scenario which has not actually come to pass yet – that’s the very same moment that, in any way that you can, it might be helpful to ‘pull yourself back’ with some kind of reminder that you are in fact, here, Now.

Of course, you can’t physically ‘pull yourself back’ from a place that you have only gone in your imagination, but, I think you get the point 🙂
