These words probably don’t need to be in your vocabulary.
There might be a time to use them, but, my recommendation is, if you hear yourself saying them (either in print or, before they leave your mouth), pause & reconsider.
For example “I’m also just following up on …” is much weaker than “I am following up on …”
Why beg? Why ask for forgiveness when you’ve done nothing wrong?
It’s not impolite or disrespectful to be direct.
It is disrespectful to marginalize yourself.
