You can always create a moment of stillness, peace, and quiet for yourself with one long, slow, deep, heart-centered breath.
The ‘heart-centered’ part is important because, as the HeartMath Institute teaches us, when we entrain our breath with the rhythm of our hearts, we really engage our parasympathetic nervous system, and our abilities to solve problems, connect with others, and reduce stress.
So, no matter what you have going on all around you, remember that you always, always, have this powerful tool inside of you.
Of course, more than one breath is great, but, if all you have time for is one, that’s better than zero.
