Meeting People Where They Are

Even when someone is a no-show for a scheduled Zoom, I don’t engage in other activities for at least a few minutes.

I’ll sit in the room and NOT check my email, or begin another project.

I will stay focused on them, and on being quiet and silent with myself. Emptying myself out of the way.

The better I can do that, the better the meeting will be for both of us.

It’s a matter being present for the other person … no matter where they are.

Even if they are not there at all!
