“I’m always working, even if it’s personal.”

“I’m always working, even if it’s personal.”

Some explanation:

Even though I put many hours of the day towards work as conventionally defined, I am even counting sleep, cooking, eating, and writing this blog post as work.

And trust me, no one is paying me to sleep, each, or write this blog post.

However these are all forms of working on myself which I take seriously, just as I do my relationships.

So no, I don’t view my personal conversation with you as work in the conventional sense, but it is really important, and that takes work.

Perhaps I’m a little too far, at least at times, on the side of the spectrum where there’s not enough of a distinction made between the two. I’ll admit to that.

And perhaps it’s also true that too much is made of the distinction too often.
