“Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.”
I heard Tim Ferris talk about this on his podcast once, and it’s something I occasionally repeat to myself at the outset of, and throughout a ‘busy’ day.
I put the word ‘busy’ in quotes because the adjectives we place on things are a choice. We can change those and reframe how we look at things.
You don’t have to tackle work projects with the ‘busy’ mindset.
Might you have a lot to do? A full calendar? Of course.
But it doesn’t pay to be rushing to the next thing before this one is done, correctly. That merely shortchanges both.
