We often fear our own success. We know what has to be done and we know we can do it. Of course we can. But, what will everyone else say when we do?
Fear hides itself in different forms. No matter what the form – procrastination, anger, indifference, anxiety, false bravado, the list goes on – the more we feed it, the stronger it grows.
Fear keeps us waiting. Waiting for the “rain to go, or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow,” as Dr. Seuss says. If you haven’t read that book in a while, you probably should. I was written for you, not for your children.
