I’ll admit that I compare myself often.
It’s a deeply ingrained habit.
I compare my body, my job, my car, my house, my income, my knowledge, my interests, my level of stress, my kids … and much more.
All of that constant comparison, it will probably never fully go away, at least, not in this lifetime.
But it doesn’t really get you anywhere and it doesn’t really matter either.
What gets you somewhere is acceptance; realizing that it’s not about ‘more or less’, ‘higher or lower’, ‘better or worse’.
It’s about accepting where and who you are, acknowledging what you really want, and then taking small actions to progress yourself to a new stage of where you want to be. (If you’re not already there.)
