Vegetables.

One of the things that most people simply do not do is … eat enough vegetables, both in quantity and variety.

That goes for both vegan and paleo people alike.

Neither diet is optimal when loaded too high a percentage of refined starches or meat.

Neither diet is optimal when variety is lacking. Have the same salad or steak every day, and you’ll miss something critical.

I’ll leave the door open for fans of the carnivore diet to criticize this claim. In fact, I’ll admit that they might have a point.

However, so far, from everything I’ve personally test and coached, having a healthy-sized portion of different, organic vegetables at every meal, along with healthy fats and animal products, leads to peak performance.
