Beginning with my daily, early morning practices of meditation and zen yoga. and as often as possible throughout the day, I work on breathing and staying connected to my heart.
In Qigong this is also know as ‘the heart center’ or ‘dantian’. It is a powerful energy center, which you may have also heard referred to as a ‘chakra’.
More recently, modern science has tested and proven what these ancient traditions knew:
That the energy which emanates from your heart can be felt at least six feet away from you in all directions, if not more, like a ‘force field’.
The more we connect to the power of our hearts, the more rooted we become in feelings of compassion for each other, as opposed to thinking (from our brains) about … all of the negative, divisive things that we often think about.
