The funny thing about comfort foods is that most of them cause discomfort.
The discomfort that builds up over time, from weeks, months, and years of eating fried foods, refined and processed foods, high-glycemic foods, inflammatory foods, and so forth turns into much more than just mild discomfort.
It begins as discomfort. It then becomes sickness, illness, disease, chronic disease, and finally death.
Each progression is, of course, more difficult to reverse than the previous one.
The best time to begin that process if you haven’t started yet is, of course, today.
This doesn’t mean that you can never eat foods which comfort you.
You may just have to reduce or rethink how you do that.
You can have the best of both worlds (comfort and health) if balanced properly.
