What You Do

If you sit, and try to find something that’s permanent, something that you can hold onto for as long as you live, you won’t.

Not your emotions, nor your physical body, health, relationships, position, material things … nothing lasts forever.

While this impermanence can be unsettling at first, I find that it leads somewhere invigorating.

It’s not any particular thing, state, or feeling that matters.

It is only what you do while you have control over your actions that does.
