How To Think About Nutrition

You were most likely raised to think about ‘nutrition’ in terms of ‘getting the bare minimum’ required.

It’s on every food label of every package that you see. It’s call the ‘recommended daily allowance’, which means the least amount of a vitamin or mineral a human should consume to avoid illness – to avoid deficiency.

Except the opposite of deficiency is surplus, or optimal.

What mixture of foods will help you thrive, and feel your best? Provide maximal energy, repair, immunity, and clairty?

‘How to function at your best’ is not on any food label I’ve ever seen, but it is possible to approach every meal with that in mind instead.
