I haven’t seen the movie Blind Fury since I was a kid, but the other night I recalled watching it several times, and how it made in impression on me as a young teenager. Now that I’m forty, I finally know why.
(We could also discuss why I recalled that now, at this particular stage in life, if we want to open the rabbit hole of the subconscious and stages of consciousness.)
It’s because the idea of a blind person achieving such level of mastery with a sword is a symbol of your highest potential as a human being.
Except that is not just a symbol, or a movie.
It’s true.
Your highest potential is the kind of stuff they write movies about.
