You can work towards perfection by holding yourself up to an ideal; a version of you that does not exist. Then whenever you fail to meet that standard, you can beat yourself up pretty badly about it, perhaps even equating each ‘failure’ with who you actually are.
Or, you can see the truth: that you are perfect exactly the way that you are, and it has always been this way, since even before the day you were born. What you do with your body, mind, and soul while you are here is totally up to you, but who you are … that is a forgone conclusion.
You are beautiful, capable, and exactly who you were meant to be.
