Your Attention

Lots of things are all around you, waiting to pull your attention away from the task at hand.

External things such as: your email, coworkers, friends, apps on your phone, social media feeds, news, addictions (of all kinds).

Internal things such as: fear, resistance, self doubt.

The list is endless.

The more you can raise your awareness of them, the more you can fight back.

Your attention, your ability to focus on one thing and complete it, until no more can be done, is invaluable. It may be the one thing that empowers you more than anything else.

All of those other factors I mentioned that beg for your attention, it’s not that they’re all ‘bad’ or malicious. You can give them your attention when you are ready to.

Just don’t give away your attention when you’re not.
