The Work Is The Gift

When my wife asked me what I wanted to do for Father’s Day, I said that I wanted to workout.

That’s something I already do every day.

With regards to Father’s Day, externally, I smile and understand how and why most people want to celebrate Father’s Day. So I treat that with respect, and do my best not to lessen the importance of it for them.

Internally, I know that it’s Father’s Day every day. I already have exactly what I asked for when I became a Father every time I see my family.

Today certainly is not a day to take it easy and relax.

If anything, it’s a day to work even harder.
