I approach everything in life the same way.
I don’t make a distinction between ‘work life’ and ‘personal life’ in terms of ‘the approach’.
I do in terms of focus; I only focus on one thing at a time, so, my attention may be turned to one or the other at any given time, but, not both.
When my attention is turned to being a father, husband, or friend, I’m all in. Which means that I am also ‘working’. While in those roles, I practice all of the same habits that I practice at work.
The opposite is also true. While I’m at work, I practice all of the habits that I do when I’m not.
I love my family and I love my work. I’m happy and lucky to be able to say that.
I bring the same intensity, passion, and constant striving for self-improvement to both.
This means that I am constantly working to become more self-aware of how I respond to things, and how I can do that better next time.
Working on yourself is constant. That kind of work never turns off.
