I very rarely write about pop culture, but I found the WWE’s decision to proceed with Wrestlemania (and all of it’s other, typical, weekly programming) relevant.
They’ve always followed the mantra of ‘the show must go on’, even when Owen Hart died in the middle of a live event in 1999, and, after an short, eerie blackout, the show continued.
The show must go on, in your life as well.
Yes, you should ’empty the arena’ as the WWE did, and take all, reasonable, possible precautions to be safe.
But you’ve also got to live, which means, don’t stop doing whatever it is that you love to do.
Find a way, an alternate way. There always is.
Ceasing to do what you love, living in fear … that’s not living. Not to me, at least.
