Securing Your Health

I thought that a few words of comfort would be in order today.

To a very large extent, you health is within your control.

High quality sleep, food, and exercise; regular exposure to the Earth and sunlight; clean, adequate amounts of water; a regular spiritual practice …

… these things do not grab headlines, or get you to tune in to the evening news. They don’t help sell pills. They’re not scary enough.

In fact, they’re completely free, which, generally speaking, makes the corporate entities that profit off of our upside-down health care system upset.

What they are, when practiced daily over time, is a sure, proven way to boost up your immune system, lower your stress levels, and remain calm and strong in times of uncertainty.

These things have worked for thousands of years. They will be here, available to you, for free, long after COVID-19 is gone.

Right now there is uncertainty, and yes, it is possible that things around here will temporarily get worse before they get better. It would be foolish to ignore that, so, let’s acknowledge it.

But I can honestly tell you that once you shift your mindset about health from one of reaction to one of prevention, you will feel much more secure.
