Three Choices

As one of my mentors says, there are really only three possible choices when faced with any decision:

The optimal, the sub-optimal, or, do nothing.

Note that ‘do nothing’ is often falsely assumed to be the correct choice, but ends up being sub-optimal. ‘Do nothing’ is great when you don’t have all of the information; not when you’re scared of the optimal.
