Resistance Training

You have a natural tendency to resist working on things that are uncomfortable.

It’s OK. So do I.

Just like a bench press, you can build up this muscle, let’s call it your confidence muscle, little by little.

Whenever you notice yourself avoiding important work, that’s the signal.

Rather than falling back into what’s safe (checking your emails, scrolling your feeds, taking the easy ones), set aside a block of time to work on that other project, the one you’ve been avoiding.

Put it on your calendar. Preferably for at least 1-2 hours, as early in the day as possible.

You’ll be surprised how little time you actually need to do all of those other little, safe things at the end of the day. Practically zero.

Just like making time to go to the gym for your biceps, your courage needs to workout as well.
