How Can I ‘Listen To My Body’ Better?

I talk about ‘listening to your body’ often.

It is one of the keys to being able to follow your, personal, true and correct path of becoming the best version of yourself.

But, how do you do this? Or, how do you get better at it?

Well, I have also mentioned many times that your body is the most sophisticated ‘computer’ on the planet. It is a system of complex, interdependent systems.

As such, those systems transmit signals, just like phone calls.

But when the lines are not in good condition, when the service is poor, or when the equipment is buggy, then, your body’s calls either do not come through clearly, or, they get misinterpreted.

When we talk about eating a ‘clean’ diet, hopefully what we mean is one that’s free of chemicals, refined sugars, and processed foods. (I call these ‘not-foods.’)

When you are not eating organic foods, then the cells of your body become laden with all kinds of chemicals that disrupt regular functions.

When you are constantly in a state of stress and excitement, when you are not allowing your body to rest and repair, then your hormones, cognition, and all sorts of other things are off kilter.

In a toxic state, there is no way you can listen to your body and figure out what foods work best for you.

Your body will, however, still signal you (for as long as it can) with messages such as: chronic pain, inflammation, irregular bowel movements, sickness, injury, illness, and fatigue, to name a few.

This is why one of the first things I ask unhealthy clients to do is to remove the junk.
