Yesterday at 3:00 PM I decided to run over to Trader Joe’s.
Trader Joe’s isn’t the only place I shop, but I do enjoy how quickly you can find what you need and exit.
At 3:45 PM I was home with a bag of: organic portobello mushrooms, organic cauliflower, two dozen organic cage free pastured eggs, nitrate free turkey bacon, two pounds of organic chicken breast, one pound of wild caught shrimp (peeled & deveined), organic strawberries, organic goat milk kefir, two organic fuji apples, one organic avocado, organic shredded mozzarella cheese, and a bag of organic blue corn/quinoa/amaranth tortilla chips.
If you think about that mixture of high quality food, and where it all had to come from to eventually end up in my refrigerator at a moments’ notice, that’s insane.
Just one hundred years ago that was impossible. It might have taken weeks or months to locate, create, or grow all of those things.
Sure, I prefer to buy local brands and visit farmers markets when I can. But for me that comes second to selecting foods that will make me strong & healthy.
You have the entire world of food at your fingertips. Take advantage of it.
