I like to reward myself with workouts.
Yes, it’s true that training sessions are a regular part of my week, three times per week at minimum, whether or not I have something to celebrate.
But I don’t look at them as a chore.
I really look forward to them. If I can work my schedule to the point where I can add extra training sessions, I do.
For example, yesterday I got a ‘bonus’ training session in on a non-scheduled day, and ended up crushing a PR on the front squat.
It was awesome yesterday, and still today I feel great, largely because of that.
Once you work training into being part of your personality, whatever kind of training that may be for you, you may start to feel the same way.
I can’t wait to tell you what I have planned for my birthday.
