Cravings are not bad; they are a signal that your body needs something.
It takes some practice to figure out exactly what that really is. It’s not always the thing you think it is.
So, what should you do while you are figuring that part out?
The craving is still here, now. It’s 9:30 at night and you don’t have your next session with me until next week, for example.
Well, one tactic is to feed it – with an upgraded version of the food you usually crave.
Let’s use cake as an example.
Why can’t you make a cake with good, wholesome ingredients?
Perhaps an organic, whole grain flour, or a Paleo version? Some dark chocolate with little or no sugar? Some nuts? Even some coconut based cream or icing?
Sounds pretty good, right?
It is. If you start to fill your body with nutrient dense foods that you enjoy, you might find that whatever version you were eating before doesn’t satisfy you anymore.
