Did You Forget the Fat?

When is the last day that you made sure you had some healthy fat at each meal?

Fat is sometimes the forgotten food component.

We tend be more aware of the portion sizes of our protein, carbs, and vegetables … but not always our fats.

You need good, healthy fats to effectively digest, absorb, and reap the benefits of all of those other great foods!

A short list of good sources of fat: animal skin & organ meat, coconut oil, olive oil, nuts, avocados, fish, grass-fed, pastured, &/or wild-caught fatty meats & butter.

It can seem weird to eat more fat in order to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and be healthier, but, that might be the case for you, depending on what else you’re eating.
