I recently had the flu, and I loved it.
Life throws you lots of curveballs. Things you didn’t plan for, that throw you out of your comfort zone.
Not, I’m not saying that the flu is as serious as cancer, or losing a job, or a major emotional stressor.
But your mindset does, ultimately, come down to the same choice.
Are you going to accept defeat?
Or are you going to find the opportunity, the silver lining, and transform it into a growing experience?
I’ve been through a few tough spots. I would not be where I am today without them.
I chose to few the flu as a challenge. How much could I rest? How quickly could I recover? Which supplements would actually work?
It also opened up the opportunity for me to do a few things that I don’t normally do while going to work every day, such as: spend more time with my family, read & meditate more, take a new video course on nutrition.
Never once did I speak about it in the negative, to myself or others.
This all may take some practice, and cognitive retraining.
But believe me, coming from someone who was once as negative as a person could possibly be, I’m telling you that you do have the power to change your mind, your outlook, and your life.
