There are four key ingredients to your health.
FOOD: What you fuel your body with.
STRENGTH: How you move & maintain your fitness.
MIND: Whether you are overly stressed, or calm.
HEART: Having loving relationships.
We could take a deeper dive into any one of those, as there is much to say about each one. But for today, I want to only talk about them as a group.
Those 4 key ingredients are not negotiable if your goal is to live a healthy, long, happy life.
Too much imbalance in any one of those areas will drag down the others.
Yet it is also true that small improvements in any one of those areas will begin to uplift all of the others.
Here’s how the word ‘synergy’ is defined: “the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.”
Food and exercise are a great place to start.
But we are also emotional, social beings. We cannot ignore our happiness, or our relationships.
I don’t want to live to 120 and be able to do a push-up.
I want to live to 120 and do that push-up having known that I loved the people in my life the best that I could have.
