Being Balanced & Grounded

You might be full of vitality, but are you also grounded?

To build on yesterday’s thought a bit more, having lots of energy is great. But to properly be able to channel that, you must also have a bit of control.

For example, if you are a high energy person who always takes action, gets things done, and inspires others, but who lacks grounding in your life, then, you might also sometimes intimidate people, make rash decisions, or burn out.

Being grounded balances out a strong life force.

Some examples of grounding activities are:

  • Actually ground, outside, with bare feet on the earth, for 10 to 20 minutes per day
  • Eating grounding foods such as seaweed (kombu, nori, etc.)
  • A daily spiritual practice of any kind

Your body is very smart. If anything is out of balance for too long, it’s going to force you to correct it, one way or another.
