Exercise: One Big Step For Your Health

My exposure to CrossFit was a milestone on my health journey.

It definitely changed my life for the better.

I had never before exercised as vigorously, and, as you know it feels really good to complete the workout of the day, especially with a group of people all doing the same thing.

I had never before been exposed to Olympic weightlifting. The snatch and the clean & jerk quickly became my favorite exercises, so much so that I went on to build my own platform in my garage.

But, I think that even more importantly than all of that – and, if I had just stopped there, that would have been an amazing amount of change for one person – was the fact that CrossFit opened my eyes to how much I didn’t know about health, strength training, and nutrition.

It was the beginning of my exploration into things like diet, cooking, meditation, and Qigong. I started to read and learn from many different teachers in many areas.

I eventually went to school at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition because I knew that I wanted to help others transform their lives as well.

That’s where I am on my path, my health journey, right now. And, that will continue to change, grow, and move forward. I will always be learning.

But getting into CrossFit was a huge step in my current direction.

And so, I’d like you to think of exercise as the same for you – a first step.

If you care enough to put in the time to take good care of your body, then, be open to wherever else that takes you.

Ask questions, and, dig deeper.
