The Biggest Misconception About the Paleo Diet

The Paleolithic era lasted from about 2.6 million years ago to 12,000 years ago.

Outback restaurant was founded in 1988.

A lot is unknown about the Paleolithic era. Plus, I am not a historian, geologist, or evolutionary scientist.

However, I can tell you with confidence that we, homo sapiens, did not have the option to eat 24 OZ grilled ribeye steaks every day of the week. (With special deals on Mondays and curbside takeout.)

The biggest misconceptions about the Paleo diet is that it’s ‘eat lots of steak and eggs.’

I’ve read the books. I’ve done the diet. And even though, as you can see from what I wrote yesterday, I favor a higher-than-normal amount of protein for most people, that’s not the whole story.

You need to eat a wide variety of foods for the Paleo diet to work, with as many of those foods being fresh vegetables, healthy fats, fruits, nuts, and seeds as possible.
