Your Next Forkful

Try setting your fork down, completely out of your hand after every bite.

If you’re like me, this is a challenge. For years, I ate very quickly, bringing the next forkful up to my mouth before the previous one was swallowed.

The thing is, eating quickly …

… isn’t necessary – there are no lions coming;

… reduces how much you chew your food, which is important;

… completely misses the part you should enjoy: the taste.

There is no rush.

Your next forkful should come after you’ve enjoyed this one.
