Yesterday morning at about 5AM, the emergency alert tones on our cellphones went off for a flash flood warning. It was pouring, hard.
It was also time to get up and train.
The first exercise in the program: run 1 mile for time.
I have a rowing machine in my garage. I could have easily subbed out the run for a row.
I grabbed a towel and some dry socks, set them near the door, put on some crappy shoes, and went into the storm.
For 7:37, I was a little wet and uncomfortable.
A few minutes after that, I was dry, warm, and deadlifting.
Life is not comfortable.
Get ready for it.
