The first step in any strength training program is not ‘get in the gym and start lifting’.
It is to answer this question: “What do you want to achieve?”
Are you dreaming of being happier and confident in your body? Are you training for a certain sport or competition? Are you looking to achieve a certain level of general conditioning?
Why do you want this? What brought you here? What triggered this decision?
You need to know your reason for training.
I train because I always knew, deep down inside, how strong I could become. That I could have a body which allowed me to do amazing things.
That’s what drives me.
It helps guide which training programs I choose.
It pushes me to finish when the training is tough, when I’m sick, or tired.
The 1st step in any training program is not to start training.
It’s to figure out your ‘why’.
