Yesterday I mentioned that taking a day to recharge is important to maintain and increase your energy levels.
No one can go full speed, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Here’s tip #2 for increasing your energy levels: invest in high-quality foods.
Essentially, invest in yourself, when you shop.
If you eat a lot of animal protein, buy the best quality protein you can. Organic, free-range, pastured (eggs), grass-fed (meats), & wild caught (fish) is best. It costs more, but, you’ll feel the difference. This is one of the most important categories to choose wisely in, because inferior animal proteins will drag you down.
For veggies & fruits, buy organic whenever possible. Especially the dirty dozen.
For grains, make them whole. Like dry beans, whole oats, or lentils. Not like processed cookies & cereal.
If you’re not buying your foods this way now, give it a try for one month and see how you feel.
If you want to feel like a race-car, you’ve got to fuel your body like one too.
