Although similar to yesterday’s post, I wrote this on Facebook, and, though it should be posted here:
Good morning. Today’s post is for the Dads who are out of shape.
You may have seen me running around, doing pull-ups, and feeling great.
Before I was a Dad, I was very far away from that. I was overweight, weak, out of shape, and slow. I could not do one pull-up, or run up a flight of stairs. I weighed 40-50 pounds more than I do now.
You may not have known that, so, now you do.
Now, here’s what I see when I see you: I see a beast. I see a guy who can become stronger, leaner, and faster than me. I see the version of you that you can transform into. Not the one that’s looking back at you in the mirror.
That really is what I see, no BS. I know it’s possible because I have done it, and you can too.
Now, you can do it on your own. You don’t have to reach out to me for help. (If you need some help, I am here.)
This is simply something that you need to know, whether you do this on your own, with me, a trainer, a doctor, or any other health professional.
You are not stuck.
